MadTV still seems to be much funnier, and edgy, even though it's had its day as well...

1. Agreed. It reminds me more of the original SNL cast and the writing is |
|
better.
Cricket, I'm showing my age AGAIN!

2. I haven't watched SNL in years |
|
and even then I was waiting for Night Shift and MST3k hour to come on.
I watch MadTV nearly every weekend, but I miss Alex Borstein and Will Sasso!

3. MadTV is by far the better show right now. |

The last time I tuned in to SNL was to watch Al Gore's gig as host. Before that I hadn't watched it in quite some time. I can't really pinpoint the moment it lost its appeal, but it did.

4. MADTV did a spoof of R.E.M. a few years ago that made me nearly |

wet my pants, it was so funny. "Corkie and the Juice Pigs" did a whiny, mandolin laden song that walked a fine line between scathing satire of Michael Stipe, and loving tribute to Michael Stipe. I just about died laughing!

Will Ferrel WAS SNL, and when he left, I made the switch.

6. Depends on the year... |
|
Like a fine wine.
1992-1995 SNL
1996-2000 MadTV
Presently: Neither.
Although Dave Chappelle is really entertaining me lately.
