Why are we thankful? What is thanksgiving?

Why was it originally celebrated? (thanking the Indians who helped us before we killed them?!)

Why was it perverted into something it isn't? (being thankful for things in our lives, which most of us are every single day of the week?!)

I don't get it.

But many people have to work tomorrow. It's not 4 day for them.

I can see a time where corporate america will make people work on all holidays, just so the CEOs can get richer.

Stress will eventually end their power, fortunately. Not their stress, but the stress they give everybody else. So far, people have adopted a fair timid and lame and self-disrespecting 'this is life', conveniently forgetting 'life is what we make of it'. And if people in France can have 35 hour work weeks... (according to Michael Moore's book "Dude, Where's My Country?")
