Ok, the manicotti is stuffed and slathered with sauce and cheese, and is now in the oven. I can breathe now, and wait for my yummy vegetarian Thanksgiving meal!

2. I'm with you on that one |

My fiancee used to work with Food Not Bombs in SF, and they would give out Tofurkey to the homeless. He thought it was mean, because that stuff is soooo nasty! He a veggie, and he won't go near a Tofurkey!

3. I made it for the first time last year |

ick. I never liked the way meat tasted anyway, so I stay away from the fake stuff. But tofurkey is far and away the worst of the bunch. (Although the tofurkey stuffing is mighty tasty!)

But I felt like doing something different this time...I've never made Manicotti before, but it smells good, so I think it'll be alright!

My fiancee is also an Italian-American, and he says for a non-Italian, I make some of the best Italian food he's ever had. His Grandma would be proud!

I gotta say that sounds good. I'm not looking forward to eating turkey, I can't stand turkey. Like, at all...

13. It's so nice to see some fellow veggies... |
|
We're doing Mexican here--taco salad. I've got a 12 pack of beer in the fridge that's miraculously remained unopened for 3 weeks, and I'm hoping I'll be up to having a couple. My daughter wants some mashed potatoes topped with chik'n gravy. She's just getting over a week long bout with the flu, and I've started to get it, which explains my unpleasant mood all day yesterday. This was a nice excuse for us to bow out of those excruciating family dinners and have our own Thanksgiving.
I actually like Tofurkey, but went strict vegetarian so that's out. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
