trust them not to do the same with their email data? I mean, there's nothing too exciting but its just creepy and a violation of trust. I just busted the power company for sharing my email -- resulting in a spam bombardment. I am so fucking sick of the 1984 world we are living in.

Invent your own domain, and get web- and SMTP-based e-mail. Since they'd have nothing to do with your web searches, they couldn't give up that info.
Oh, yeah. Be sure to write Yahoo, and tell them exactly why you're dumping them and how much you're going to spend with another company.
