1. It's more likely that netflix bought advertising
from a company that drudge uses. Internet advertising is rarely bought from a specific site. Check out the way google does it's advertisements or most blogs for example.

Hastings Donates $200k for California Special Election

According to the LA Times, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings was one of the larger donors supporting a possible special election:

Reed Hastings, chairman of the movie rental company Netflix, reported Monday that he gave $200,000 to support the proposal to redraw legislative boundaries — an idea opposed by Democrats, who control the Legislature, and by many Republican legislators. Hastings said in an e-mail that he gave the money in hopes that the measure would open the way for the election of more moderate legislators.

Hey stick with true Republican donating and thief Blockbuster if you want.

Local video stores (non-chain owned) are okay too I guess, problem is that still requires using gas and meeting return deadlines-not to mention for someone like myself who likes foreign films they are near impossible to find at the local plces.

11. No, it's one of the few Blue companies out there
I think their CEOs (if it hasn't been sold in the past year) give only to Democrats, while the company itself donates over 70% to Dems.

Netflix also heavily promotes liberal documentaries on it's site.

12. Nonsense. They're headquartered in a sea of blue.
Not only are their recorded campaign contributions 3-to-1 blue, but they're on Universtiy Avenue in Los Gatos/San Jose ... a virtual ocean of blue. (That's an easy bike ride from where I lived last.)

http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm

I use it and when I go to Drudge all I see is "Support The DrudgeReport; Visit Our Advertisers " Sorry Matt!

8. No.
You do realize how stupid you look posting this, right? I mean, you should probably stick to posting in the Lounge or coming up with another infantile chemtrail theory. The only person who could be even more dumb is your mother, for letting you live long enough to post this trip on DU. In fact, I should just kill you myself. I bet you're one of the Bushitler gang, aren't you. Some shill for the GOP to disrupt this fine forum. Goddamned Marylanders...only thing they're good for is...well, not a damned thing. Have a nice day.

:-)

Once the iPod gets more content (movies), netflix will be a thing of the past.

They're only out of Pennsylvania, but if you live near there, then your rentals should arrive pretty quick.
