What would you want to do?

The life of an athlete is disciplined, but has almost limitless rewards.

The life of a movie or tv "star" has almost limitless rewards.

Everyone, when they are younger, wants to be able to have the next hit single on the radio.

What talents would you want to have that would give you satisfaction?

1. Writing novels

I already do make some money at it, but not nearly enough to quit my day job. All I want in life that I don't already have is to quit my day job.

3. Yeah, I'm in the same boat--you really need to work at it full time to

hone your craft, and a 9-5 job makes that a hindrance.

2. we're not supposed to talk about it anymore

but it has to do with film and video.
and in my case lots of men.
of course i'd be perpetually young too. but it's my fantasy.

congressman or something, spend all my time on DU to find out 'what the people are thinking'. At $50 an hour.

7. I want to sit around & play CivIII all day,

goof around on the internet and write essays. If I could get paid to do that I would be in heaven.

Either that or a lottery winner.

8. Public Speaker/activist like Jim Hightower or Ralph Nader

Except that i dont have the Law degree Nader does. At 44 i have come to realize that i want to help the world to be bettrer than the way i found it. I am having a particularly hard time these days because i am a car hauler. I deliver new cars to dealerships, thus contributing to many of the institutions and maladies that i detest! (i.e. Globalization, pollution, low wages, etc.)
