AND! Why is it that when SOME drunks get a buzz on that they decide they gotta decide how FAST they can weave in and out of lanes on the interstate at 90 mph??

I must have sighted a dozen weaving, wobbly drivers on my 25 - 30 minute drive home tonight

Cripes! I swear I was the only sober driver on my way home tonight. And it was only 8:30 - 9:00!

Jebus! I drove home snockered myself hundreds of times in my younger days 20 years ago and I don't know how I never got a DUI because I deserved one. I drove like an old lady so I wouldn't get caught. But I never tried to call attention to myself by driving like a hotdog!

1. Too true, on the way to my parents' place around noon
I jinked around a car that was making a right turn, VERY SLOWLY, and over the hill speeding way too fast came this car.. The driver saw me slightly towards center and almost rammed his car into the trees, what a farking idiot. This happened a good 75 yards away from the intersection.

Pop over hill while speeding, see car near your lane, swerve as violently as you can.

Darwin just missed a point with that clown

2. This was at noon??
I drove to dinner at 1:30 and the roads were pretty thin and I didn't notice a problem then. This was between 8:30 - 9:00 driving home that I felt like I saw my life pass before me driving home.

In this area St Pat's Day is big and the bars open at 7:00 in the morning. That's the only day I look for drunks as early as noon! And they are all over on St Pattys around here!

4. I didn't notice it, but on the drive to and from my folks' house,
there were cops EVERYWHERE!

Driving home from the movies tonight, I didn't notice any drunks.

5. There was very little traffic on my drive
to my destination at about 1:30 from Iowa to just across the border to Nebraska in Omaha.

On my way home between 8:30 and 9:00 there was a little more traffic but half of them were drunk! I didn't see any cops out, but I took mostly interstate.

The usual drunks I can handle - I like to keep them ahead of me so they can't hit me. I must have happened upon a couple hotdogs tonight that have a death wish when they get drunk and have to go 90 mph between tight spaces to prove themselves.

Dumbfucks. I'll bet there will be some sorry story in the paper this weekend.

6. I had one follow me home
Tailgating the whole time. Layed on his horn at the toll booth from the time I slowed down until I passed through the gate, and then some. Continued to tailgate me.
Neither of us could move over because there actually were a lot of cars on the road. (This was 9 pm going north on I-94 a few miles south of the Wisconsin-Illinois line.)

Then, of course, when he finally decided to pass, I discovered that there were children in the back seat. (He sped off before I could even spot a license plate, let alone a number.)

Idiots.

11. F-ing Illinois Bastard
It's a WI term we use for our unfriendly, reckless-driving, pretentious, classless friends from the south. Especially in regards to their reckless driving and inabiilty to show patience or thought of their fellow human beings on the highway.

mostly, the true FIB hails from the Chicago area. The rural Illinois peopkle don't so much drive or act like FIBs, so it's a somewhat unfair derogative. But it's easy to say, and will always bring nods of agreement when used in WI. :-)

14. I'm technically a FIB...
I moved from the Chicago area to WI when I came to college.
I'm a bit more timid a driver than most FIBs, though.

My online friend who introduced me to that term when I was 16 (he lived in South Milwaukee) took great delight in calling me one a decade later when I got a speeding ticket.

9. I'd want that person in front of me!
I don't care about this game of tailgate or "who has the biggest one" or playing chicken or playing stupid power or mind games while driving. My strategy is get to my destination - if others want to make a game of it and play chicken with passing then LET them win. I just want to get to where I'm going.

Some of these idiots have kids in their cars. :eyes:

OMFG, I just found a cockroach in my livingroom! I am going to nuke the whole fucking neighborhood in the next 24 hours!
