Anyone read both Shrub and Bushwhacked?
I want to get my dad one of these or both, if they are different enough. He is now blind so I need to get them on audio. If you think they are pretty similar, can you recommend something else? I'm thinking Franken's Liars.

BTW, Dad is a dittohead, likes O'Really, etc.

1. I'd go with Franken
Just because he's (IMO) tougher on Bush, than Molly is.

:)

2. So, Shrub or Bushwhacked?
I'm leaning toward Bushwhacked. She reads them both, which will be a treat. My understanding is that Shrub is more about the idiot's life before the 2000 election, Bushwhacked is about his dismal record in office. Any insight?

3. I've only read excerpts from "Bushwhacked" in a magazine
But I liked what I read. It was all about what had happened to ordinary Americans because of Bush's policies. I'd say that one would probably be more relevant to your dad, than Bush's earlier "exploits."

BTW, I just got Bushwhacked on audio the other day, and haven't listened to it yet, except for just a few seconds... just to be sure that particular cd wasn't defective. And it was someone else reading it. It was a woman, but definitely not Molly. At least on the version I have.

4. Hm.... the cover on Amazon's audio cassette said Molly reads it.
I'd be disappointed if it isn't her -- Dad probably wouldn't care either way.

Thanks for your help... I think I'll go with Bushwhacked and Liars.

5. Sounds good!
I just checked and it's someone named Anna Fields reading on my copy.

You're welcome.

6. I've read Bushwhacked and Franken's Liar's
And have Shrub sitting on the bookshelf ready to read.

I've just taken up a lot of political reading lately, bought about 20 books and have only read 8 of them so far, and frankly they are starting to run together in my memory.

But as I recall, Molly said if anyone had read Shrub (his * record in Texas) they wouldn't be surprised about his * current results running the federal gov't because he is using the same failed model(s) that he fucked Texas with before he left. Which is true.

Franken's book was pretty good. I would definately put that as #1 on the listif I had to make a choice.

If dad is a dittohead, you might be pissing in the wind, but Franken's book might be the better in that case as well.

7. I think I have read just about everything Molly has written
including Shrub and Bushwacked. I would go with Bushwacked since it is more current and up to date.

8. I've only read Lying Liars but it is a very good book
and it confronts O'Reilly and his lies that your dad has probably heard.
