Favorite pro skateboarder?
I'm not sure how many DU'ers are actually interested in the sport and/or follow it... Who is your favorite pro?

I'd have to go with Rodney Mullen based purely on skill. That guy's flatland tricks are untouchable.

4. I'm definitely down with Mullen
He does stuff that nobody else can even dream of doing, like the weird-looking varial flips and the underflip tricks and the manual spins. I get a lot of my trick set (yeah, I'm skater trash) from his style; namely, the rail flip tricks.

As long as we're talking insanely good skaters, how about PJ Ladd? I don't know if you've seen Wonderful Horrible Life or not, but he opens his part with a hardflip revert. Then he does a crazy looking trick -- I think it's an inward heelflip revert. Then he muffs a kickflip and the cameraman sympathetically comments "DUDE! You just missed a kickflip!" And it only gets crazier from there.

Moving onward: the Man, the Myth, the Legend, Tom Penny. Casual, smooth style and an insane trick set, he is to skating what Barry White was to singing. He's the man. If you haven't seen Menikmati, get it -- his video part features the coolest looking Impossible ever filmed.
