must i swallow this?

I have a pretty bad cold right now and the only thing in my house are pills. I cant swallow pills, never have been able too.... so far I managed to swallow two, one after many attempts, and the other one using the pet method(putting it in food after i chewed it for a bit) the second one I actually bit in to as a reflex, (disgusting)

anyone else have problems swallowing pills?

1. and now my symptoms

clogged noise and throbing pressure on the forehead makes me feel kind of outside my self.... i might take a nap or something

and put them in orange juice or something or eat them in a yoghurt

i just did that, guess they pay no attention to taste when it comes to the swallowable pills.... yuck

8. I never came over pills that taste good

or medicine at all. Over Christmas I had to take a pain killer in fluids due to pain jaw joint pain. That stuff tasted nasty. And it didn't help.

3. When I had big pills that wouldn't be absorbed too fast if broken,

I ground them into a milkshake.

4. I have trouble swallowing vitamins.

Most of them are horse pills. When I told my doctor I wasn't taking vitamins because they get stuck in my throat, he called me a wuss.

6. I used to have big problems with pills

and still do from time to time. Can you cut the pills in half? It helps if they are smaller. The other thing that worked for me, though I have no idea why it made a difference, is to take a gulp of water or whatever and then put the pill in your mouth and swallow (rather than pill first water second).

9. Pills give me a bit of a gag reflex...

but I just let them sit on my tongue until my throat calms down, then I swallow really fast.
