Poll question: That great, but heartbreaking, Japanese song
One of Japan's most famous singers, Kyu Sakamoto, sang this in the early 1960s, his tale heartbreak when the girl he had a crush on became a movie star and kicked him to the curb. It's also been remade badly approximately fifty times with ambominable translations in as many languages.

What do you prefer to call it?
