Not offend anyone that works at Wal-Mart but.... |
|
Could we have a day designated where we boycott Wal-Mart? I get tired of hearing about how much they're making when the actual workers don't get paid diddly squat.

Several of us took a pledge not to do any shopping at WalMart or Sam's Club. Yesterday, I blasted my beloved brother for buying at Sam's. I told him to take his business to Costco!

I'm fairly new to DU so I probably missed it. Wal-Mart is about the only place left in my small town. It drove out lots of small businesses and also a K-Mart we had here for years. I will try to do my best as long as I can find what i need at another store.....I'll probably have to go out of town for some things. I am refusing to buy anything for Christmas there for sure. I've never heard of Costco. There's a super Target and a new Kohls about 45 minutes away. I may just shop over there more often! Thanks guys. I'm just tired of it!

3. that day is every day for me... |
|
and for a lot of the other people here too I believe. Not only are their buisness practices pure evil, but their stores just suck. I couldn't stand to shop in them, even before I knew how they were ripping their employees and suppliers off...

4. Count the security globes on the ceiling |
|
It's 1 globe per 5 square feet. The local walmart in my town has over 100 of them in its store, and I'm not counting the ones on the outside!!
All stores use such camera technology, but walmart is far, far more extreme.

7. I am Wall-Mart Free as well |
|
My wife went to Sam's Club this week on company business. Since her "company" is a Communication Action Agency/Head Start shop, I suggested she should cut up the company Sam's Club card, and send it back to Wal-Mart HQ, infoming them that they are in the business of serving the working poor, not creating them.

8. Like some others here I boycott walmart every day |
|
I will never buy anything there.
I wish everybody would do so and drive them out of business. People shop there 'cause they are poor and their prices are low, apparently not realizing they're perpetuating that cycle by supporting the biggest and most corrupt company in the world.
