Did any DUers know that Cream reunited for some Concerts!!!???
Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker, and Jack Bruce on stage together!! I was blown away when a local radio station played "Crossroads" recorded from one of these shows!! It was great!! They played at the Royal Albert Hall. I was surprised enough to hear an FM radio station play live recordings of anything!!
GRRRRRRR!!! Nobody ever tells me anything!

:grr:  :grr:

1. Yeah, but the RAH shows were the only ones they did...
it's not like it was a tour or anything.

3. Yeah, true!
Eric is 60 yrs old now or there abouts. Jack and Ginger probably about the same. Still, I would have liked to have been there! And what I heard sounded really good!!

2. I saw some of it on PBS, on New Year's Eve.
Jack Bruce was really in great voice. Baker seemed kinda bored by the whole thing, but that's the way he's always been. Clapton sounded a lot better than he has in decades but I thought a lot of his leads were uninspired.

The thing that impressed me was that they presented this old material the way that 3 60 year olds should. They didn't try the balls to the wall approach that they would have when they were younger.

"Spoonful" and "Pressed Rat and Warthog" were highlights, for me anyway.

I thought someone posted about it here, though. Maybe that was somewhere else I saw it... but yeah.

9. Yes
I thought I heard that they were thinking of playing a few shows at Madison Square Garden too. Maybe that fell through?

There are both CD and DVD releases chosen from the RAH concerts. The New Hampshire PBS station ran (some of?) the DVD for their latest bout of fundraising.

I thought the performance was as good as one would expect from journeyman rockers with a century of experience among them, but not magical. But I should hear it on a better sound reproduction system than the 2" speaker built into a typical TV set, then I could actually hear Jack Bruce, who (being a bass player myself) I think of as the brains of the outfit.
