Poll question: How many DU personalitites do you own? |
|
By own I mean have paid for so that you can get a Star put by your name so that it looks like you are someone else?
I have one and that's it but let's get real here guys some people have more then one personality on this board.
One good one One mean one One funny one One serious one
SOME PEOPLE NEED TO BRING THEM ALL TOGETHER AND STOP BEING SYBIL. PEOPLE ARE MORE INTERESTING IF THEY HAVE MORE THEN ONE VIEW.

I sometimes wish I had another one when I'm on here posting when drunk. Maybe you'll be seeing Drunkswede soon.

And for what it's worth, the Administrators discourage folks from having more than one viable identity on these boards.

Frankly I don't have the energy to split into multiple personalities and simultaneously post using them. That's more complications than I need on a chat board.

It's hard enough just keeping up with all the connections I've made. I don't think I could juggle the connections of two people and still have time for my life.

|
When the person sent me a PM it was in their other screen name but they were talking about the same thing that I have talked about with this person for months. I was puzzled about it but I figured it out immediatly.
We have beene exchanging recipes for months.
I don't care if it floats that persons boat that's ok with me.

I don't think that would prove conclusively that they were the same person.

Both of us don't know the whole DU family do we? It's just a question please don't take it so seriously.
What if you found out that someone is using another name would you ask him/her to bring the both together?
Have you ever PM somebody and they used their other name to PM you back?

7. You're being presumptive |
|
about my demeanor.
It's not my place to ask anyone to change their identity. It's between the poster and the Administrators of these boards.
And no, I've never had that happen. And I get a lot of private messages.

It's all oohhh Will Pitt is so great, oooohhh I just love Will Pitt. Well you know what? Last night Will Pitt broke into my house at about three o'clock in the morning, snuck into the living room and nailed my cat to the floor. Then he daubed 'I love Satan' in his own blood all over my wall.
Oh hang on. That may have been a dream.

|
Edited on Fri Nov-28-03 08:11 PM by populistmom
At least I tried to because I felt like my personal space was being invaded by a family member who was questioning things I write and getting upset. However, it got too complicated and some nasty DUer changed their name just to harass me about what I did along with very complex choices I have had to make in my life for the sake of people besides myself, not knowing or understanding the situation, so I decided it wasn't worth the trouble. I can deal with the devil I know more easily than the devil I don't know. He still reads what I write at times, but not as bad and there's nothing I say here that he doesn't already know (just gets upset if I vocalize it out loud I guess). Besides, if I want to be more private, I stick to PMs or e-mail.

I DO know what's going on and so do you.
Why not just take it to PM with the person you perceived you had an issue with? You did have one or more persons in mind when you started this. Why not just settle the issue privately without all this public drama?
