1. I harbor no such illusions.
Disagreements can be fun though, as long they don't get too personal. :D

6. LOL!
Well, I would be inclined to marry someone who shared my liberal values, so arguing with them might not come up that much.

I have dated some libertarian types, and we always wind up disagreeing b/c they've come off to me as way too arrogant.

17. My understanding was these two subjects were not to be discussed...
...in mixed company or family gatherings.

If we couldn't talk about that, we'd be totally screwed.

20. So you're saying you willingly broke your marriage vows?
And you, sir, have imbibed at my bar as a guest!

I prefer inviting men who treat their marriage vows with impeccible moral exactitude. Men like Ron Reagan and Newt Gingrich.

I feel so violated.

we were both falling into Hell ex-Catholics and liberals to boot! It worked out pretty good.

22. Abortion almost destroyed my marriage.
My wife is a pretty devout Catholic, whereas I once went (alone) to a NOW meeting. Our fights about this were as passionate as they were irrevant (for us).

We don't talk about it anymore. And frankly, unless my son knocks someone up 10 years from now, we won't ever have to.
