Who went shopping today for the great bargains?
I didn't. The thought of fighting the masses of humanity for 30% off wasn't worth it.

Get any good stuff?

Not a chance. I only went to the international market
for bean sprouts, garlic and okra. It's in fresh from Atlanta on Fridays.

4. Never
I would never go out to do shopping the day after Thanksgiving, I can't stand to be around a mob of people. :puke:

5. Had to go to Target, and was afraid I'd see mobs of people...
Not only was there almost NO traffic around Target OR the Beverly Center (for those not from LA, it's a HUUUUUGE mall), there wasn't anything even resembling a crowd at Target--this was around noon today, and I was dreading the crowds. No crowds at all....not good for bushie.

6. I am on semi- permanent boycott status.
I am trying to not support the US economy or government in any way until scrub is no longer resident dictator. I am still outraged about the 2000 election.

I moved to another country after the 2000 election, and am basically only buying local goods from local folks here.

Boycott the scrub campaign finance machine. Boycott, or buy only from Dems or alternative environmentally friendly small businesses and co-ops if you can help it. Union and American made at the very least.

8. I ventured to the produce market downtown
Small, not very busy downtown (that nevertheless had no close-in parking). OK produce market -- emphasis is Mexican produce. They're putting a carneceria next door, which makes me happy (if the meat is good). I bought $8 worth of pears, mangoes, garlic and onions.

That was it.

9. Not me!
I've signed on to the "buy nothing" movement.

I want to buy a croquet set in order to enjoy the back lawn at work.

I also need to buy my sister a silver necklace.

I'm not doing it. I'm waiting until after midnight today to do it and still salve my conscience.

Decided to hold on to my bucks. I have a new grandchild coming next month for Christmas. I'm unemployed so I will only be spending for the grandkids, my son and his wife who is giving me my new grandson. :7

12. I did...
Almost got in a fight at the Apple Store because they wouldn't give me a $6 education discount on a keyboard without my student ID. Just this past summer I bought a COMPUTER from them and got like $300 off, and they never asked for any student ID. SIX DOLLARS!!!
