Lennon killer's signed LP on sale for $525,000
A John Lennon album that Mark Chapman got signed hours before he killed the former Beatle has been put up for sale.
The Double Fantasy LP, which has a price tag of $525,000 (£305,000), was signed by Lennon when the star left his home in New York on 8 December 1980.

When he returned five hours later, he was shot four times in the back.

The album was found at the Dakota Building entrance by its current owner, who is now selling it through US autograph dealer Moments in Time.

3. Better to take that $500,000
and donate it to one of the causes John supported, like Amnesty International.

4. I've got a bunch of things (including albums) signed by Lennon…
but I'd never consider selling any of them.

my dad did a lot of tax-related work for him between 1974 and the time of his death.

5. That is really, truly, seriously sick!
I still remember the day I was pulled over by a cop for driving erratically on December eighth. I was heavily pregnant and wearing my nurse's uniform.

When he asked if I was okay, I sobbed "John is dead!"

He replied "I've heard. That sucks big time, doesn't it?", before he allowed me to drive on.

I'm probably strange, but I still love that policeman, and despise the creep who is now trying to profit from Lennon's death.
