Hey Red Sox fans. Did that trade between A-Rod and Garciaparra...
...ever go through?

Their signing Curt Shiling has got me thinking about that.

Does anyone know anything?

1. Hmmmm
Haven't heard anything offical on that. Still sounded like rumors. I notice that alot of times, if a rumor gets spread on the Sox, it turns out not to be true because Epstein seems to like to stay udner the radar and sneak up on people (like with Schilling). However tons of reports are saying that Nomar or Manny are out and A-ROD is in. If Nomar goes, I am sure gonna miss him

3. I heard that Nomar wants out
That Manny's contract is too expensive and the Sox want to free up $$$ for another big player. Possibly a pitcher (perhaps Andy Petitte).

That would be cool to acquire A-ROD, Andy, and Curt Schilling in the off season. I'd say they would be a shoe-in for American League pennant this year.

4. Oddly enough, Arod might be a payroll move for the Sox
Will Pitt brought up payroll. As odd as it sounds, the Sox may acquire AROD to juggle the payroll better. They would in theory be giving up Manny, and Nomar who is up for a large, expensive extension.

As far as Nomar wanting out, I have never heard him say that but it seems to be the consensus opinion up here. However, Nomar has always said he loves Boston, however he doesn't talk to the media much so rumors spread. I am not convicned he really "wants" out but a lot of people are.

6. I heard he wants to be closer to his love, Mia Hamm
BTW, you know I'm a heterosexual guy. And usually don't judge guys on their appearance. But I think Nomar is dog ugly. How did he end up with a hotty like Mia Hamm?

8. Nomar is hot!!
Nice body, and despite the huge ass nose, his face is lovely too.
And this is from a Yankee fan- high praise!
But Jeter is still hotter ;)

9. Really? You think so?
Maybe, I just don't know what i'm talking about. But I remember being shocked when I heard he was engaged to Mia Hamm. Because I think she is VERY HOT.

10. A few Rangers fans feel that way about ARod
He reminds me of Ruben Sierra and Herschel Walker. He has great talent and great numbers, but somehow doesn't help his team win. It's something hard to put a finger on, but he deflates a team, or somehow weakens it, even while making himself look great. That's why Seattle got rid of him, and I think that's why the Rangers are shopping him.

That, and they are spiteful because they cut Pudge for him, and Pudge just won a World Series. ARod got them nothing but an award for himself.

Like Seattle, Texas will improve when he's gone, and no one will quite no how to explain it. Too bad we can't send him to the Yankees.

11. Not very popular in Seattle
It was great to see Pudge Rodriguez win the World Series ring and A-Rod finish in last place. Yes, PayRod would look great in pinstripes!
