1. Every now and then there are flashes of brilliance in The Simpsons

I gotta say a little bit of Ginger Ale went up my nose when I heard that one

2. Yep - that's about it's all really good for any more, the good lines

the stories for the most part aren't there any more; it's just a long, chaotic string of one-liners and fast edits. But every episode still manages a couple very funny lines.

I also liked "I bet this looks cool from above".

But the horse line was sheer brilliance, the kind of writing they used to do.
