What Christmas song did everyone love to hate
Edited on Sat Nov-29-03 03:10 AM by Valerie5555
one of my votes go to "Chestnuts roasting on an open fire."

On edit maybe everyone ought to 'fess up and admit they were tempted back in '92 as in 1992 to sing "Joy to the world, George Bush is pruned," for I wondered how many were tempted to do that.

4. Especially if they're played too darned early
but I also hate "Mary's boy child." As for "What Child Is This," wouldn't it be funny had at 1 time last year Ms Ducros made up a ditty called "What Moron Is This" about *

5. There is this one version of Jingle Bells
that is sung by some lady in a very syncopated, sort of be-bop style (or something like that... maybe there's no name in English for what the hell they're trying to do). I guess it seemed like a cool idea to do it that way to someone at the time, but any time I hear that rendition I just cringe.

12. I like some but.
Here in KC. Two stations have gone to 24/7 christmas music till December 25. What is funny is that they are the 2 top rated pop stations. Guess that is an indication of pop music popularity. LOL

17. The Christmas Shoes
Born-Again Yuppie has a guilt attack as a po' li'l boy tries to buy some shoes for his sick Mommy. But he doesn't have enough money, and the mean ol' shopkeeper won't let him buy them shoes! So the Born-Again Yuppie makes up the diff and goes home swelling with pride and the love of Jesus.

And the boy's reason for wanting to buy those shoes?

"So she can be beautiful
When Mamma meets Jesus tonight"

I understand the FDA has just approved this as a substitute for Syrup of Ipecac.

23. Little Drummer Boy
That has to be the Most Annoying Christmas Song Of All Time!

By the second week of December, I'm ready to pitch a can of cranberry sauce at the nearest speaker, snarling "Rah-Tum-Tah-Tum, my butt!!"

I freaking HATE that song! It's saccharine and repeticious!

Okay, I'll sit down and take my medication, now.
