longer quite 30) ...am tempted to go back... about a year ago... while still in start-up phase (new nonprofit) had this look - a bit long for the age, not terribly 'professional' but really easy to deal with:



So another birthday... the organization grows... have many more fundraising efforts... give in to an urge this summer to 'look my age/more professional' and chop it off.



Am I just being too lazy to go back and maintain the short look by rationalizing that I can still pull off the long hair deal? Or should I stay with the more professional woman look? Decisions decisions...

The down side to a thread like this is that there's a focus on appearances that isn't very becoming to us Dems. But the positive side is that, although I lurk far more than I post, I do feel that I know so many of y'all, so it's nice to see the faces that reflect my own hopes and dreams (and fears) for this country. Every face I've seen in these threads has made me smile. You're all like family to this lurker, even though you may not know it.

Next time there's a heated debate about what constitutes rape, or Clark vs. Dean, or the impact of the Greens on (X), maybe it'll be a little more difficult to flame someone once they've become something more than just typewritten words and a crazy screen name (well, I can think of a few people who won't let this stop them, LOL). Yeah, these threads can spur the hormones - there are a lot of attractive people who post on DU, and we tend to hail from the more "sex-positive" side of the spectrum. In a Philly Sandwich shop owned by Malik Rose of the San Antonio Spurs, who happens to hail from Philly. We had me, lazarus and haele, velmad, silassoule, gman, iggledoer and his wife. I was expecting about 4-5 more people.

Now, I have also had a philly in Philly with LynneSin, MaineMary and Mr. Pitt. Aside from the "freedom fries", it was a great experience!

both sound like great company! A couple of weeks ago here at the heart of HoosierBasketballLand... we had locals (myself, RainDog and Bloom), other Hoosiers from afar... DocGonzoLive, Nlighten, and Prolesunited, and from a state over.. BlueJay. Oh - and ofcourse, Will Pitt (who graced our city for a couple of days.) But NO freedom fries to be found in the college-town part of this city. Not that anyone was upset by this development...
