For real editing, frontpage SUCKS. |
|
Unfortunately, Adobe whined "They took my patent, WAAAAAAAAAAAH!" and thus got to buy macromedia - and jack up the price even more than it was before.
I wish the open source movement would hurry up with something good... :D

code it in a regular text editor - even Dreamweaver 8 has trouble rendering CSS correctly.

3. HomeSite, dude, HOMESITE! |
|
Even Macromedia couldn't fuck that one up after they bought it!
Either that or get HTML-Kit. Free to download and use, plus there's plenty of user-contributed modules for code hightlighting/generation.

5. Adobe? Macromedia? FrontPage is made by Microsoft. |
|
I wouldn't use it for serious web development, but for quick and dirty stuff, it's great. Honestly, I use FrontPage the way I used to use Notepad for personal notes, lists of favorite quotes, reminders, recipes, etc.

6. Indeed, Frontpage produces the *most* effed up code I have ever seen. |
|
Seriously, what is that crap it makes?
