SURELY I am not the only DUer waiting for 'The Return of the King' ...
After re-dosing on the Fellowship of the Ring, and cycling through the extended version of The Two Towers .... I must say: I can barely wait 'til December 17th ....

Jackson, while not perfect, has captured the myth and made it real ....

Something we thought could NEVER be done ....

19 days to go ....

3. Yeah, a little. I'm reading the book first
I had read the Hobbit back in Junior High, then picked up the first two Two Towers books in Highschool, then never got to the third one until last night.

4. Heck no!
I will be taken at least twice, once each by two sets of friends. The funnests part will be when I tell Mary "I saw Viggo." and she flips and asks where and I say "At the Peace Rally in DC." and then she really flips cause she's super conservative. Ooo, I'm just and EVIL DUer.

5. absolutely not alone....
In fact, I went to watch the Fellowship today and my VCR ate the tape, probably because I've worn it out! (Purchased before my dvd, so I guess i will HAVE to get the DVD now!)

Just watched the special edition of The TT the other night and boy, those additional scenes were great, I thought.

Anyhow, I cannot wait....

I just caved and bought the extended versions of the first two dvd sets, and am watching them constantly just to prime myself for the last one.

9. Other than someone saying something incredibly stupid every 20 mins...
I actually enjoyed the Matrix Revolutions. I only cared about the story and I thought that it ended very well. I like a neat little package when I see a movie like that.

As far as ROTK, it will be the best movie of the year. They have done so well with the other 2, I can not fathom them ruining the last one. I get weepy thinking about how great it will be. I deeply believe that Jackson will get it right. I also think that it will make the most money of any movie this year and finally WIN Oscars for best movie and best director.
