The only thing worse than being frustrated and single is being frustrated and not single (and not wanting to hurt someone else by making selfish decisions). Then, to have someone express an interest in you (who's pretty interesting too) on top of it. It isn't easy really. I guess I should consider myself lucky in many respects. I really couldnt be bothered.
I have been in a somewhat serious 'online' relationship in the past. When it ended and I thought back on it, I couldnt believe how ridiculous the whole concept seemed to me. Never again.
The people you meet online are real enough, but the situations never are, so IMO you really cant trust feelings you might have based on an incomplete picture.
If I were to meet a fellow DU'er and THEN found I had a crush, though, that would be completely different.
