I was equally stunned when I first heard it. An absolute masterpiece. Not one note out of place.

3. I am a fan of both Rush and Dream Theater |
|
The guys in Dream Theater are some of the most technically brilliant musicians that have ever lived. Rush is great too, but there tends to be a lot of sameness in their playing to my ears.

4. You really need to get "Beware of Darkness" |
|
That and "V" are their best two albums, but ALL of them are great. "Snow" reminds me of both "The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway" and "The Wall" in its conceptuality.
Even their newest album, "Fell Euphoria", is good. This despite the fact that Neal Morse has left the band to pursue a career in Christian music. He is born again, but I don't think he has the typical freeper/fundie type of mentality.
