I like George W. Bush* because... Let's read between the lines!
Man, this is so sad...
<http://www.georgewbush.com/news/support.aspx>
Let's read between the lines...
"I support President Bush because, as working parents of two young girls, we must not only be great role models for our kids, but we must also save for their futures. President Bush's Child Credits have allowed us to put an extra $800.00 to their college funds and he is a President who our girls can look up to and say, "someday, I want to be just like him!".
Meaning rich and childlike....
Thanks for being a great leader and role model
Meaning a figure head
during the most difficult time in our nations history President Bush!"

-- Todd Goberville of Parkland, Florida
My admiration for President Bush stems from his setting aside partisian politics to just get the job done of serving all Americans!
Meaning he is one of the most divisive presidents ever
It's not easy to do what's right instead of what's popular.
Meaning Bush's actions are neither popular nor rightWe don't have to second guess his words, actions, or intentions. I may not agree with everything he says or does,
but then again I'm a Masochist.
but he has earned my respect by demonstrating high ethics and character. I am proud he is my President, and enthusiastically support his re-election in 2004!"

-- Deborah Camargo of Corona, California

"I support the President because, as a young person, I think the direction that he is taking America is the one that provides us with the most hope and optimism for the future.
Meaning I have no hopes and dreams
His pro-business stances will encourage entreprenuership, which benefits us all.
Meaning Dad told him to say this
His hardline stance on terrorism makes not only America, but the world, a safer place. I will support our President in the next election because I want to see America continue to move in this direction. The majority of Americans agree. "

-- Max Holmquist of Collegeville, Minnesota

"I joined the Republican party because of President Bush. He has shown me what compassionate conservatism is.
Meaning compassion and murder are about the same thing... right?
He is doing the right thing for the American people and I support him all the way."

-- Margaret Dodge of Hicksville, NY

“As a small business owner, I support President George W. Bush because he respects the role of small businesses in our economy. He is working hard to ensure our success, by cutting taxes and reducing unreasonable government regulations that make it tough to make a living.”
Meaning, "I like arsnic in the water..."

-- Ruth Mulligan of Columbus, Ohio

I've started this thing off. Let's continue to play the game.

I support President Bush because he was chosen by God to lead America in this time of trouble. He whom the Almighty hath annointed, let none amoung ye soil the hem of his garment.

2. Hmm, these all sound like "Astro-turf" letters from the RNC site
I just wrote our newspaper about one that appeared in the Knoxville News Sentinel last Wednesday.
Here it is;
"Letter to the Editor

Reading the Letters to the Editor today, Nov. 26th, I see that you have been "Astro-turfed" again. I haven't been keeping count so I'm not sure, is this the third time this year, or is it the fourth?

The wording on the letter, especially "He has taken bold action to create lasting economic growth", sounded like one of those pre-written letters that the Republican National Committee creates and encourages people to send to newspapers under their own name. Sure enough, I found it within 5 minutes by "Googling" the phrase on the Internet. It can be found at "http://www.georgewbush.com/Economy/WriteNewspapers.aspx?AgendaID=2".

Please respect us, your readers, and prevent this type of phony "astro-turf" letter from appearing in your paper as if it were an actual Letter to the Editor from one of your readers. Your credibility is at stake. It won't take you too much effort to recognize a probable "astro-turf" letter and then research it before approving it for print."

can these be real?
are they made up.
i'm going to try to find out if max holmquist is a real person.
the only thing in collegeville is st. john's university, so it shouldn't be too hard.

can you submit these? because i can think of a few great ones. i'm sure they screen them but....

"I like George W. Bush because he hath smiteth the enemies of the one true Christ. he has brought the enemies of God before the altar and slain them and cast them into the lake of fire.O, listen, we can hear the unbelievers wail and cry for mercy even now! Too Late! George Bush has administered God's justice!"

6. The other day...
a friend and I spent ten minutes trying to think of ANYTHING good or positive to say about Junior. The only thing we could come up with: "He's an excellent jogger."

Whoever is in charge of his ties does a superlative job. They are often crisp and sharp and tied very neatly.
