I almost ran over a pedestrian today

I felt SO bad - I was making a left turn and she was in the crosswalk going across the street I was turning into. And I just plain didn't see her - I don't know if it was glare (it was very bright) or if she was in a blind spot. I didn't feel like I was being inattentive but suddenly there she was and I had to swerve to miss her.

I wanted to stop and apologize but there was no place to pull over safely and I had traffic behind me. The poor woman jumped out of her skin (so did I).

I guess I just needed to confess.
