Is it just me or has the Internet been exceptionally slow today?

Even though I only have dial-up service, every Web site that I usually access has been at a snail's crawl today. Just wondering if anyone else is having a problem. I have T-1 at the office and because we are on a company server, it is very slow. But my Internet access at home is super-sonic speed compared to the company access. But seems that after 12 noon today, everything slowed to a crawl. Have been trying to shop online, but it has been virtually impossible. Could be it is my server which is AOL?

But I'd ask: Where's the DU crowd? Xmas shopping?

2. I agree - line spreed varies from 25% to 100% on download, upload goes

to zero for periods of time.

I checked for gove tapping in, and while I did not find any, I am no longer good enough - as if I ever was - to notice today's technology. But it sure acts like there is a tap (or if you like - a screening program to prevent virus transfer).
