7. Cape Town, South Africa is the happening city these days |
|
My plan is to eventually move back to South Africa and live in Cape Town. One of these years.
I've travelled a lot of the world including Rio but there is no city that comes close in terms of beauty and setting. Vancouver, maybe but it's too wet and Rio are the only two places that come close.
It's also become very trendy and hip as well in the past few years.

I think the place in my dream is Prague anyway. It seems to be from movie footage and pictures. If there is reincarnation, perhaps I used to live there. If not, maybe I was meant to live there or something.

Eureka Springs, Arkansas. It is the worse spot in the universe. It is imperative you stay away. Don't even think about venturing there. In fact, you can't get there from where you are.

|
Buenos Aires......a wonderful city that has it all.....alot of culture, tons of great and affordable restaurants, cafes and pubs all over, beautiful architecture, a vibrant 24-7 nightlife, alot of nice parks and unique and interesting neighborhoods, shopping galore, plenty of sporting events year round ( soccer, tennis, boxing, basketball, rugby, horse racing,) music lovers paradise ( tango, opera, jazz, classical music and every other form of music performed live thruout the city), book lovers paradise (tons and tons of them), did I mention the food ? first class...and also the people.....friendly, funny and warm.......If I could I would definitely spend alot of time there every year.....

31. Irkutsk isn't quite on Lake Baikal... |
|
It's about a 45-minute hydrofoil ride down the Angara River from Irkutsk proper to Baikal - which is a good thing otherwise Baikal would be less pristine than it is (and it's not so pristine to start with...) Nevertheless, they're both still nice - Irkutsk has cool wooden houses... :-)

|
But I'd have to visit these places before I committed to living in one of them.
If we can count places we have been to, I'd add Paris, Edinburgh and Ao Nang, Thailand to the list. OK, AO Nang is just a little beach town, but I would certainly live there if I could.
