Just saw Shattered Glass ask me anything |
|
Shattered Glass is the movie about Stephen Glass, former reporter for the New Republic. He was caught in series of lies that spiraled out of his control and ended up being fired. In the end it was discovered that 27 of the 41 stories he wrote were either fabricated in part or in full.
The update at the end of the movie said that Glass graduated from Georgetown Law School and is now living in NYC. He has also written a book about a journalist who fabricates stories to further his career.
I suspect that Mr Glass will have a succesful career as an attorney.
Good movie and better acting by Hayden Christiansen than what he gave us in Attack of the Clones. There was some of that whining heard in AOTC, but I suspect that was the Glass character as well.

1. I can remember reading many of his pieces in TNR |

then later reading about what he did. Did the movie give you a good handle on how he managed to get away with it for so long?

and entertaining when presenting his story ideas. During editorial meetings he would go into great detail about a story and then end with, "I'm not sure I'll even finish it."
The character came across as very unsure and insecure. Anytime one of his superiors would ask to see him in his office he would ask them if they were mad at him.
