Karmically Speaking - how do you feel right now
There are times in my life when my Karma feels so perfectly strong. Like today - the Eagles won, my home is spotlessly clean, my bed is made with my favorite flannel sheets. I just lit a dozen or so candles around the home and I'm listening to Yo-Yo Ma playing my favorite Baroque pieces. I feel like I'm on a Karmic High!!!

SO how is your karma today? If you're feeling a little shorted on the karma I think I have plenty to share with others!!!

1. Hi Lynne
a prayer might be in order.

I need some good karma this way.

8. It will be okay
just mostly the real life blues.

Working on my sacred warriorship but sometimes its hard not to be attached to the pain of life.

I work with the very poor and disabled in the most conservative and intolerant legal system. The pay is awful and the succes rate is marginal.

Extra positive vibes are welcome.

Thanks for offering ...

Just a note: looking at all the groovy pictures (portrait gallery) in the lounge made me realize what a universe of solid and down to earth citizens we are. It was very moving.

It adds to my sadness when I ponder the evil that Bush and his army of fascist corporate goons and greedheads are forcing on people globally.

And I long for Spring.

2. on a scale of 1-10
I'd say today is about a 6.

I'm rather tired and bored. But at least the Jets didn't lose today (they play tomorrow) and I'm sure life could be worse.

5. My karma...
is somewhere around zero.

Nothing seems to be going right.

My car door went *against* the gravity of the Earth and slammed with sufficient force on my hand to cause some pretty good damage.

My car's starter or alternator just went out today as well.

I haven't heard from anyone I know in what seems like days and days and days. At least the people I know online. The people I know in real-life... well thats a whole other ball of wax involving a big fight and essentially ending most of my lifelong friendships.

I could definately use something good right now. I am feeling lower than a snakes belly in Death Valley.

6. Since you asked........
let's just say that if my worst enemies for some reason all had suffered a thousand tiny paper cuts to their bodies  I would be there to pour salt oh so delicately over their fresh wounds then dance a merry jig of pure unbridled glee.

(but alas, sometimes fantasy never becomes reality)

I just suffered a few insults this week and feel that nothing is going my way (yet)

:)

7. Not bad..
..about an 8, I'd say. Watched the Eagles win while taking quick breaks to climb up on the roof to patch the chimney. Cleaned up a huge amount of interior clutter. Cleaned out rain gutters, cleaned up the yard, etc. All this seems to have instilled a sense of accomplishment.
BTW, way to go Chad Lewis. A big third down catch late in the game to atone for the dropped pass on the two-point conversion attempt. Next victim (I hope)? Dallas!

9. Nonexistant...
No love from hubby today because he's working all the time. No calls from friends...kids are climbing the walls. I think I threw my karma in the garbage with the leftover waffles from breakfast. :(

This too shall pass, but a prayer wouldn't go amiss.

12. I should have so much good Karma saved up by now
I'm just waiting for it to come back to me a little (hopefully before my next life). However, I suppose it's not actually good karmically to be saying this.

13. I "smudged" my house today

I made my own sage smudgestick with a little lavendar and rosemary thrown in. And I took a handmade funky bowl kind of thing that a good friend gave me when I moved here. I put some matching sand in and got it smoking.

I went around to all of the rooms - some of them twice - and I did some chanting.

I have never done this before - but I felt like it really time to send the negative energy (from the previous owners) out of here.

Tomorrow - I'll get some cedar.

It feels good to do ritual things like this.

I felt a lot of positive energy which I put into making a great dinner for my family.

Now I'm just relaxing.

14. Nice day here,
The sun was out and I took Neo, my worst walking on a leash dog, for a long walk through town. Even the slushy snow was OK with the sun out. He does get a little better every walk and he is sooo happy to go. I stopped by the Humane Society to drop off some things I cleaned out of my pet stuff and arranged to meet the director, a really great woman, for dinner this week. I ate leftover butter beans and rice and corn sticks with tons of butter for dinner. If that doesn't help me keep weight on, I don't know what will. Now, if I could get my car and house clean, I might have even better karma.

I do know how you feel about favorite flannel sheets. I love getting in bed when I've just washed mine.

I've been somewhat preoccupied with worry lately and so pessimistic about National politics, so this was a nice day. Hope all of you have some good ones soon.

17. This is the time of year when I gotta pay...
Frm now until about April, everything will suck. The sun too low (or behind cold gray), holiday nonsense, etc etc. Karma payback totally sucks.

19. I get the winter blues.
Here in the mountains, if it's not snowing or sleeting, it's almost always cloudy. I try to force myself out every day for at least an hour, even a walk around lunchtime helps. Otherwise, I start hibernating and getting really unhappy. Plus I remind myself that the days will start getting longer about 12/23. I also go look at my beach pictures during January and February.

18. I feel about 3 or a 4
Edited on Sun Nov-30-03 08:32 PM by FarLeftRage
I sure could use some Instant Karma right now, because it seems that all aspects of my life are going nowhere fast.

My social life = 0

My love life = 0

My job = 2

My home life = 1

Everything else = maybe a 1

I am happy though, everyone else is doing better...
