Horrible spelling on official street sign in Wilmington, DE!

At least I assume it's "official", in the sense that the city most likely put it up. The word was meant to be "pedestrians". The word that was posted?

1. What would be worth noting is just how long the city leaves it there.

Was it a "Watch for Pedisterians" sign? They might be expecting an alien invasion.

In all seriousness how could this make it to an installation? No one along the way noticed?

or a least not be able to spell? First the company had to make the typo on the sign...still nobody noticed...then the crew that put it up on the pole...and again nobody noticed
