10. I was a slave to the 'toids too! I kicked the habit.

I was deeply ashamed as the evidence of my weakness grew around me--a wall of altoid tins. I dreamed of, somehow, turning my shameful need into a virtue, and designed a shelter for the homeless that could be made out of the tins. But they laughed, knowing I was just trying to ease my guilt.

When the evidence of altoid damage to my esophagus began to mount, I moved to a "transitional" substance---Necco wafers. It wasn't easy, but after months of Necco wafering, I was finally substance free.

I hope my story is an inspiration to you in this difficult time.
