Gauchos/split skirts are back in style? WTF?

1. I didn't see a single dirdnl or gaucho during Fashion Week
So those stores are trying to clear out old stock, IMHO.

2. Were they ever really IN style?
I never cared for that look. Shorts or skirts - c'mon, make up your mind! Didn't they call them "skorts" at one time? LOL

3. Gauchos & palazzo pants were very comfy..
Thery were not that great looking, unless you weighed 120 and stood 5'10', but they were comfy :)

23. See, that's the thing...
I'm too short (5'4") to look good in them.

16. No. A skort looks like a regular skirt with shorts built in.
Gauchos are really just a split skirt.

5. The person responsible for that should be publicly executed.
Gauchos are perhaps the worst fashion crime ever committed against women. I nearly threw the Target sale paper across the room yesterday when I saw that ad.

8. Gauchos. One of the dumbest-looking things a woman can wear.
Trust me on this, ladies. They are not attractive, not matter how attractive the woman wearing them is.

9. I don't know what the hell those are but they sound scary.

I was flipping through some fashion magazines on break at work the other day and I can't believe how LAME some of this stuff is. Usually you can see how runway clothes will morph into regular people clothes. I don't see how puffy sleeves and those goofy puffy skirts will look good on anybody including the tiny little models. 1987 and 1975 should not be combined to make a new outfit. I blame republicans for this horrible, hideous crop of stuff.

19. Bad choice in fabrics too
47% rayon/46% polyester/7% LYCRA® spandex will accentuate every panty line and bit of cellulite.

28. They're ugly
but apparently they're comfortable. I guess that goes for those nasty Ugg boots worn with mini skirts or shorts. They're comfy but they don't look good.
