G'damnit!
The girl I like has apparently just gone to offer herself to another eligible gentleman.

I wish her the best.

Ah well. The night is young, and so am I.

educated, self-supporting, funny, and beautiful. By her virtues she deserves to be happy, regardless of with whom.

Of course, I think I'm the best man for the job.

Today was a good day though, even though I'm disappointed about her. I got several birthday phone calls and hugs. I delivered a hug and a bar of dark chocolate to a friend who was holed up in her room, railing bitterly about Valentine's day. I went to a Young Democrats meeting where we watched the Cheney Daily Show clip (thanks, CanOFun). The treasurer brought homemade cupcakes in honor of Valentine's Day and my birthday, and I got a card signed by the other members of the executive board. I spent a couple of hours playing pool at a bar with another friend turning 21 today and some mutual friends, but I didn't touch a drop of alcohol.

Now I'm going to do schoolwork and then go to bed.

EDIT: Ok, I lied. It wasn't a good day. A lot of other things happened. But it wasn't a disaster. Nothing went horribly wrong. It was just a day.
