This may not be all-inclusive:
For Better Or For Worse Stone Soup Peanuts Family Circle (yes, I used to read that years and years ago) Bizarro The Far Side Close To Home Bloom County The Norm Gasoline Alley (a loooong time ago) Funky Winkerbean (a loooong time ago also, though recently discussed here) Calvin & Hobbes One Big Happy Sally Forth (when it used to be funny) Cathy (when it used to be funny) Dilbert
I'm sure there are more.
I also used to read Ernie Pook's Comeek and Life In Hell in the Mpls/St. Paul weekly, City Pages.

9. I did read Nancy when I was a kid. |
|
Then a new writer took over about 10 years ago and it got funny, in a sassy way like FoxTrot, but then it got revamped agan and became really boring.

Every day and on Sundays. If someone published a newspaper that contained all the cartoons available, I'd pay five bucks a day for a subscription. Ten bucks for Sundays.

Calvin and Hobbes Foxtrot Dilbert Far Side Non sequitor
Bloom County Opus The other Bloom County one
And the one with the guy with the psychotic cat and the weird dog (no, not Garfield). I can't remember the name of the strip, nor any of the names of the characters. The cat is currently trying tmake a movie memoir of himself, and wants it to start with a camera shot of "a room full of carcasses". I love that cat!

I swear, that cat was based on my kitty that passed away in November.
If my kitty could talk, she would have THAT snarky.

Though For Better or for Worse tackles more controversial issues. That's a step in the right direction, in my opinion anyway...

In papers, past and present:
Peanuts Bloom County/Outland/Opus Calvin & Hobbes Wee Pals Fox Trot Dilbert Zits For Better or For Worse (GOD please don't let Elizabeth hook up with Flanders-looking Anthony, who looks exactly like her dad . . . with a molester-stache . . . ) Pre-Teena Funky Winkerbean (it's an Ohio thing) Real Life Adventures (this comic is pretty much about every whitebread guy I've ever worked with) Speed Bump Bizarro
Online because my suck-ass paper won't (or can't) carry them: Boondocks Toles Ted Rall The Modern World
In collections because I was born too late: Krazy Kat R Crumb Little Nemo in Slumberland The Smurfs (used to be quite an innovative comic strip prior to being a dumbed-down Saturday morning kids show)
