It's is an old Scot word for ghost, spelled all kinds of ways. It is also the source for boogieman.
Bogey = presumed hostile Bandit = known hostile

A bogey is unconfirmed. Confirmed hostiles are "bandits".

5. little ditty about Comet |
|
"Comet. it makes your hair turn green Comet. It makes your eyes turn green. Comet. It makes you vomit So get some Comet and vomit today."
Done to the tune of the march (is it Sousa or King) "Colonel Bogey" which is also the tune they whistle in "Bridge over the river Kwai."
