4. I'm more of a GD person now

Back when I first joined DU after the 2004 election, I spent the first month in the 2004 Election forum, thinking that we were somehow going to reverse the results.

Then, after I realized that nothing was going to happen, I dropped out of politics all together because I was just disgusted with everything,; from the majority of Americans to the MSM to the Democratic politicans.

So I spent all my time in the Lounge posting copycat threads and getting on people's nerves. But then after Katrina and New Orleans, I found myself back where I started, and I haven't stopped obsessing since.

7. Very nice

I've been in and out myself. I've been temping, so while I'd rather have a real job, it's been nice having the chance to hang on DU. Are you still writing poetry?

8. The poetry has been on hold so far this year

because I've been getting a lot of paid writing and photo assignments, which is more important for me right now because nobody pays me for my poems. But I always walk around with a notebook in my pocket and I frequently write notes and lines for future poems.
