That female Turkish ice skater did great... |
|
That was a great story. I hope she makes the cut. She was cute too. Did a nice job.
I like fun stories like that.

5. she was born in Turkey |
|
and when her parents saw that she had the aptitude for ice skating they moved to Canada and started all over just so she skate. She's from a country with two skating rinks, so going somewhere else was essential even though her family had to sacrifice their prosperity. She's the only skater Turkey has, maybe the only member of the team, I'm not sure. Her parents couldn't afford the trip, Mom is in Canada and Dad is in Turkey, so they are watching her on tv. So now her parents get to see her live out her dream and that's cool in my book. :)

Turkey is a fascinating place. I got to go there a couple of years ago and really fell in love with it. Great people, music, food, landscapes and horses too!

yes, it sounds like an awesome place to go. I went to Bulgaria, but that's the only place I have been overseas, not counting airports. I would love to check out Turkey, that's one of the places on my list when I get the chance.
