She's fierce, strong, loving, warm, kind. When I first joined DU, she was the person I thought I wanted to be friends with, that I wanted to know better. She has a special place in my heart.

44. It will be the enclosure of the breezeway

at our front door. One wall is existing granite, and one is a half-way next abutting our patio. One entirely new wall, to the north, will be about 13 feet wide, and totally glass with sliding doors leading out to the koi pond. Another wall will be reinforced sheetrock with a metal door. The remaining half-wall will be glass to the roof, with sliding windows for easy access for The Wiley and Excellent Boy Cat Named Ginger. (I couldn't paint without him, ya know.)

The existing cement floor will be insulated and then covered with natural larch. Best of all, though, is that the largest light source will be the natural north light from the window facing the mountains and Lago Maggiore.

I think we ought to give back a little bit of the goodness we've experienced. I remember how happy I was, joining such a huge forum, when someone welcomed me. My husband, Call Me Wesley, remembers too how warmly you welcomed me, and it helped _him_ decide to join DU a year later.

I was feeling slightly sorry for myself, it's my 43rd birthday today, my hair has changed over the years to a color that can no longer truly be called "blonde" :cry: and I am at home in California, with my family -- you'd think I'd be happy but being here makes me rather sad, since I don't live here anymore.

So you see, this thread has cheered me immensely.
