A DIFFERENT Repug Chain Letter I Got Today (another 9:11 POS)
Anybody get this one recently?

Did I mention I HATE CHAIN LETTERS?

A Fearsome Eagle

Read all of this one, it is interesting!! Read down to the very bottom
highlighted in green , you don't want to miss this!

VERY INTERESTING -

1. The garden of Eden was in Iraq .

2. Mesopotamia, which is now Iraq, was the cradle of civilization!

3. Noah built the ark in Iraq .

4. The Tower of Babel was in Iraq .

5. Abraham was from Ur, which is in Southern Iraq !

6. Isaac's wife Rebekah is from Nahor, which is in Iraq !

7. Jacob met Rachel in Iraq .

8. Jonah preached in Nineveh - which is in Iraq .

9. Assyria, which is in Iraq, conquered the ten tribes of Israel .

10. Amos cried out in Iraq !

11. Babylon, which is in Iraq, destroy ed Jerusalem .

12. Daniel was in the lion's den in Iraq !

13. The three Hebrew children were in the fire in Iraq (Jesus had been in Iraq also as the fourth person in the fiery furnace!)

14. Belshazzar, the King of Babylon saw the "writing on the wall" in Iraq .

15. Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, carried the Jews captive into Iraq .

16. Ezekiel preached in Iraq .

17. The wise men were from Iraq .

18. Peter preached in Iraq .

19. The "Empire of Man" described in Revelation is called Babylon, which was a city in Iraq !

And you have probably seen this one. Israel is the nation most often mentioned in the Bible. But do you know which nation is second? It is Iraq ! However, that is not the name that is used in the Bible. The names used in the Bible are Babylon, Land of Shinar, and Mesopotamia. The word Mesopotamia means between the two rivers, more exactly between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. The name Iraq, means country with deep roots.

Indeed Iraq is a country with deep roots and is a very significant country in the Bible.

No other nation, except Israel, has more history and prophecy associated it than Iraq

And also... This is something to think about! Since America is typically represented by an eagle. Saddam should have read up on his Muslim passages...

The following verse is from the Koran, (the Islamic Bible)

Koran ( 9:11 ) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace.

(Note the verse number!) Hmmmmmmm?! God Bless you all Amen !

I BETTER NOT HEAR OF ANYONE BREAKING THIS ONE OR SEE DELETED. This is a ribbon for soldiers fighting in Iraq . Pass it on to everyone and pray. Something good will happen to you tonight at
9:11 PM. This is not a joke. Someone will either call you or will talk to you online and say that they love you. Do not break this chain. Send this to 13 people in the next 15 minutes. Go.

1. If memory serves, the Koran does not have a verse that reads that;
and also, verse 9:11 is totally different.

4. allow me to check my handy Koran...
hhm, mine seems to say for verse 9:11..."But if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, they are your brethren in faith; and we make the communications clear for a people who know"

must be a different version.

6. Yes, here it is, i was right:
http://www.snopes.com/politics/war/quran911.asp

This is what the Koran actually says at 9:11 --

But if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, they are your brethren in faith; and We make the communications clear for a people who know.

17. Of course
But what the people who send those stupid e-mails assume is that the dullards who receive them (likely fundie repugs) are going to do is just assume everything they say is true, rather than actually look up the verse in the Koran to verify it. Those people don't know Bible outside of the snippets spoon-fed to them by their puppet-masters, so they sure aren't going to know the Koran.

22. Thanks, ChoralScholar!
Sent the link, the majority of the article, and stated for this person to check their facts before sending this type of email....oh, and I used Reply All
(I tend to do that when I get bullshit emails like this one. I'm sure those who sent it in a mass mailing won't bother or woul dbe too embarrassed to update their email friends. Also, it tends to have me taken off their knee-jerk "gotta send this one on so I can meet the wuota to get the GOOD THING to happen to me" list. DId I mention I HATE CHAIN LETTERS? OK, I did. Send it on to 13 people??? :wtf: Pretty pathetic to send this type of crap on to friends just so one can get one's wish...or whatever else the BS letter promises.)

There - your chain wasn't broken.

What's odd is most of that stuff listed was pre-Jesus time AND many of it was stuff that occured during the first 5 books of the bible which happen to be a part of both the Koran and Torah.

So basically what the fuck is their point?

The only reason I did not own many of these vinyls I've bought in the past 3 months is because I was a poor high school/college kid the years that Vinyl was the standard for music.

Edit note: Who the hell is Lybbesin?

I remember reading your post a few weeks back about the store that had all those great vinyls that you got to go through, and get to have first go at by putting them in order for the shop owner. :applause:

Wish I had been able to keep my original Yellow Submarine...'course, I played it so much when I first got it that it was pretty worn after a few months. Still have my original Beatles Second Album, (actually have TWO copies!) Revolver, Rubber Soul, Sgt. Peppers, Magical Mystery Tour, White Album, Hard Day's Night and Abbey Road. I did have the much wanted and coveted Yesterday and Today album with the Fab Four in butcher with bloody raw meat scattered on them and the doll heads and parts, but made the mistake of leaving it, along with my other possessions, with a B/F I dumped back in '75. When I returned to pick up my stuff, he had sold it  along with my Yellow Submarine and my fav Joni Mitchell Blue.

26. There's still a Rubber Soul & Yesterday and Today album there
But both are in horrible shape. The Y&T album, someone peeled away part of the cover of the album because I guess some of those butcher albums got covered up with a sticker that ultimately became the current cover.

The Rubber Soul album was in tatters with stickers all over the album cover. I might have still taken it if the record looked playable but it had major gouges in it. The Ray Charles album I bought yesterday had a giant square cut out of the back of the album cover but the record was in excellent condition.

27. Here's something you could send back...
Edited on Mon Feb-27-06 11:24 AM by Hong Kong Cavalier
Although I know it's been debunked, you could say: "so you think that this multitude of
possible holy sites exist in Iraq, and to show your respect for said holy sites, you endorse
BOMBING THE SHIT OUT OF THEM? That says more about your "respect" and "belief" than
any chain mail letter could."

I love this part: "I BETTER NOT HEAR OF ANYONE BREAKING THIS ONE OR SEE DELETED. This is a ribbon for soldiers fighting in Iraq ."

More hollow gestures from hollow people who couldn't be bothered to actually "support" our armed forces properly.

If the above reply doesn't work, then sign their email up for some porn on some of those sites. That'll make 'em stop.
(Disclaimer: I do not actually endorse the above action. It is intended for humorous consumption only. No, seriously. Don't do it.)

See my "Thanks, ChoralScholar" post above.

Should she write back defending the POS chain email, I will be happy to use your reply...it's a good one.

As for being devious/malicious with intent...nah. I live in a VERY small rural community area, and this woman bowls with one of my closest friends here.
