Desperately in need of good clothes shopping karma!
Ok, I want to dress up casual but nicw for our cheer comps and I only have a couple of weeks to find what I am looking for. Between needing plus-size, a certain cut, and certain colors (and CHEAP) I am having trouble finding these things.

I have some decent khaki pants and now need an hour-glass tailored button down shirt in a kelly or emerald green and a stretchy ribbed tank in a banana yellow. (like these

I have tried Alight.com, Fashionbug.com, Avenue.com, and LaneBryant online. Have you seen anything like these anywhere and if so where are they and do they come in a 2xl or so??

Thanks!

1. Haven't looked around
but Torrid.com might have something in the career casuals section. I buy some of my bras from them and they have some cute clothes. Some might be too young but the career casuals sections seems ok.

2. OK, I'll give it a look.. Might be a bit preppy for them but as you say
the career look would be a bit more classic in appearance I think.

Thanks!

5. Thanks a bunch! I _almost_ saw the right stuff at the Gap today... Just
too small. Most places are doing pastels for spring instead of the punchier colors like I need.

7. I noticed that.
Torrid seems to have darker colors.

Target has one in an aqua but it's not an hourglass shape.

(looking at it again-it does go in a bit at the waist.)

9. How about just a white shirt
and some Rit dye?

Might be cheaper and much easier to match the color at home!

6. Good idea.. will do! I will also try Sears (which owns them) and Penney's
since there are some stores of theirs in Bangor and I should be up there next weekend. I would be happiest if I could try the stuff on to be sure I get a good fit.

10. Kohls
They have great clothes.

Also, my friend works at Catherine's. Do you have any of them where you are? They are a plus size women's clothing chain. They have a nice selection.

11. No Catherine's in my neck of the woods. Kohl's has some stuff that
might do in a pinch. Trouble is no telling if what is in the store is the same as shown online. I have often found they stock one thing in the stores (Not just Kohl's.. anywhere) and have a completely different selection online.

17. I got some great tailored shirts like that from Old Navy
I'm XXL and they carry those in the stores; however, they tend to make all their pants low riders which is NOT for us plus-size gals :scared:

I've also had luck at Sears, which carries the Ann Klein line of clothes.
