Good Monday Morning, Everybody!
:donut::hi:
Welcome to the Early Morning Crew! I hope you had a great weekend where you had lots of fun and relaxation! I worked all weekend, but then again, we had a HUMONGUS floor move at my store, so we ALL had to be there. I was supposed to be off today, but since there is still SO much that needs to be done, I switched my days off to Friday and Saturday so I can be there to help complete it. And...since I have Sunday and Monday off for next week...that means I have a 4 day weekend this upcoming! :woohoo:

Are you ready to get this work week started? Me too! :bounce: Let's get it on!

It's just a dash of Monday-morningness.

You certainly are making things a lot better for me. :loveya:

Had lunch with my family for my little sister's birthday - which was jolly fun.

Did you have fun, or were you just working too much?

Both days. I didn't get off work last night until almost midnight. And I have to be there at 9 this morning. I'm glad YOU had some fun though!

Did you enjoy the opera?

133. So it was the C and V keys that got the workout--
I thought it was hilarious! I definitely took it in the spirit in which you offered it.

The opera was delightful, the orchestra very nimble and the leads very accomplished and well-matched vocally and good dramatically as well. They were also young enough and attractive enough that you did not have to suspend disbelief to think they could desire each other. Not to be shallow or anything, but there was a Turandot once who really taxed my ability to see her as a paralyzing beauty. :eyes:

How was your week-end?

P.S. My mother is doing really well!

134. That can be a problem with opera singers.
I went to Giulio Cesare during the summer - as normal Ceasar had to be sung by a woman (castrato issues) which makes for an interesting time.

You should really come over here during the summer - we could jolly to one of the Proms, they can be incredibly good. :bounce:

My week-end was mixed - we're not talking about early evening on Saturday (type "Murrayfield England" into Google if you want to know what it's about - but if you dare to mention it to me, you'll be on ignore quicker than you can say Jack Robinson). Yesterday was good though, it was my little sister's birthday so had a very jolly time.

Wonderful news about your mother.

3. Hi Clintmax! Yay for you getting a long weekend!
:hi: We had an impromtu moveable slumber party this weekend. They started out at my house on Thursday evening...then to PassingFair's for Friday then back here on Saturday. We ended it with a trip to the mall!

I am dreading the start of the "business day". I've got two killer appraisals and it's enough to make me sick. The one is one I did over a month ago and they keep wanting changes that I cannot ethically make. The second is an overvalue new construction.

This is also the week my baby girl turns 16. I can't believe it. Time has flown. Luckily, and vainly, I had her when I was only 19...but I feel so..so... old! :)

Have a great week!

If they spent even half as much time, effort and money on things that mattered and were actually ordered by the Bible (like, say, aiding the poor)as they do trying to eradicate anything remotely gay from America , just think how much better the country would be.

15. G'day Clint
You're far too bouncy for a Monday morning, but then you have a 4-day weekend to look forward to - good for you !!! Just don't be like me and put off all those things you should do in that free time.

But working all this past weekend ?? Man, that blows. I couldn't handle that - I dips my lid to ya, mate.

Oh well...I'm trying to be positive...I guess today means that Friday (:bounce::bounce:) is another day closer.... :D ;)

But MAN...It is COLD outside today... 7 degrees F, but it feels like -11.....Break out the extra layers!

When I lived in Missouri, I would go outside when it was really coming down and stand in the middle of the back yard and just watch it. It was SO quiet, and so pretty...and then I had to drive on it. x( YUCK!

:hi: It is so good to see you this morning. I'm at work now with a little bit of coffee in me! The opera was really good. Beautiful sets and costumes and the four principle roles were very good both vocally and dramatically and were well-matched for their complicated ensemble pieces. Effortless to enjoy compared to Elektra! TJ has called me a git for being able to go but I know he is going to see it in London himself so he is in for a dressing down!

One of my concerns now is keeping a battery charged for the laptop. The last time I camped without an RV the site I was renting from KOA didn't have a place to plug anything in. I know the campgrounds have laundry rooms but recharging my laptop may be more of a challenge. I'm very resourceful. I'll find a way.

Do you think the laptop can be recharged while I'm driving.

Lot of action here - and so early too!

Sorry to hear about your work weekend, but I'm sure your store looks great. And the bonus of a four-day weekend sounds heavenly.

My weekend was a bust. Got a head ache on Friday night and I still have it. Not too severe, but there all the same. Got a stiff neck too. Needless to say I didn't do too much this weekend, although I did make some soup and some red beans and rice in honor of Marti Gras. Cooking is a great stress relief for me.
