|
Edited on Tue Dec-02-03 05:33 PM by truthseeker1
This asshole just emailed me this obnoxious message and I feel so violated. He responded to my posting about the LA DU meetup this weekend. Here's his message AND his email address. I need your help DU'ers - help me fill his box with DU responses so he won't try this again!!!
The freep's email: Hey a Bush re-election party sounds great. Since the ecomony is coming roaring back President Bush is an absolute lock to get re-elected, especially with a total loser like Howard Dean running against him. See you at the Bush re-election party
Realtruthseeker1
on edit: I removed the email address because I just learned that's against the rules :(

don't let them know they're effecting you, it'll only encourage them.
And if someone sends you a threatening or vulgar email you should report it to your ISP and theirs.

Tell him you'll bring the widows and the sons and the daughters and the widowers of the troops killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Ask him if it's ok if they come too. They don't have a very high opinion of the Chimp, but a party would be good for them.

Why don't you freepers address the sinking dollar? Hmmmmmm???? That's the thing you don't want to talk about. Anyone can shake a little loose change into the economy to get people spending, but what's the bigger longterm picture? It's called lack of foreign capital investment to support our out-of-control deficit, rising interest rates and inflation you asshole! And THAT's the truth!

Nobody can see your email address. It’s just that if you respond to them that way, then they have yours. That’s how I got burned with someone who got banned but kept harassing me through email.

I work at a DC law firm, one of the, mmm, shall we say busiest lobbying law firms in the country. The lawyers there are divided about 50/50 Dem/Rep, but I work on a floor where it's mostly Republicans. I work for a close personal friend of * (who's a very nice guy -- the guy I work for, that is) and another attorney on the floor is one of the highest-ups (if not #1) in the B/C money machine.
These Republican attorneys have clients visiting the office all the time. My cubicle is directly in the path from the elevators to the above-described BigWig's office. You would not believe some of the attitudes, smirks, guffaws, and outright rude stares I get as these guests are led past my desk. They're reacting to the "Dean for America" bumper sticker prominently placed where it cannot be missed by passersby.
One attorney, new to the firm, saw it and laughed out loud, stopped walking, looked at me, smirked, shook his head, and walked past. He never said a word. That was our first greeting. Another attorney, for whom I have a great deal of respect, actually had the maturity and the balls to engage me in a conversation about my candidate. He told me that he believes Dr. Dean is the best we Dems have, but that he has no chance of beating *.
So I ask you, Jack Dawson: why do you say that a Dean/________ ticket would assure a B/C election?

Hi Ms. Venation,
I think Dean is a very bright guy, and I think he's got a lot going for him. I think he's a good speaker and I think he did well on Hardball last night.
The problem is, to win a general election, you need to have crossover appeal. That is to say, you need to steal independents and republicans (or democrats - see California's governor).
Clark can steal republican votes. Dean cannot. That's why republicans are so excited to have him as our nominee!!! There's a reason fuckwits like Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity have openly embraced Dr. Dean. There's a reason they openly disparage Wesley Clark.
Bush will play the "War on Terror" card and scare everyone shyteless. Then he'll run commercial after commercial pointing to Dean's lack of foreign policy experience.
He can't pull that stuff with General Clark because The General will run circles around Bush in the area of foreign policy. Clark was Supreme Allied Commander of NATO. He speaks four languages. He's spent almost as much time overseas as he has at home.
Republicans want no part of General Clark. Clark is everything they fear - from the south (Carter, Clinton). Military experience (General- 4 stars). Oh and did I mention Rhodes Scholar?
I have nothing against Dr. Dean, I really don't. But if you want to send Bush home, Clark is our only choice.

30. "steal" republican votes? |
|
I didn't know that's what elections were about. I'd've voted for McCain over Gore in '00, if the brighter bulb had won the GOP nomination. I don't consider that having my vote stolen from me.
That said, I'm not going to do anything to turn this into a Clark vs Dean flamewar. It's counterproductive.
A Dean/Clark (no matter what the General has said) or Clark/Dean ticket would be a winner, as would any combination of Braun, Clark, Dean, or Kucinich, IMHO.
Also IMHO, NOTHING is going to stop us from sending * home -- wherever the hell that is.
