I swear I remember that when I was a kid, my Episcopal priest told us that each Sunday was a mini-Easter and didn't count in Lent.

but then again, I though Saturday was sort of a "nothing" day - neither a "super-fasting" Lenten Friday (even if you weren't always perfect about fish the rest of the year you were REALLY careful during lent) and SUNDAY.

rather than take them away. Each time I do this added thing it reminds me of how much lent can be a time to make more of a difference in other people lives.
