Original message
When you walk through a storm
Hold your chin up high
And don't be afraid of the dark.
At the end of a storm
Is a golden sky
And the sweet, silver song of a lark.

Walk on, through the wind,
Walk on, through the rain,
Though your dreams be tossed and blown.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart,
And you'll never walk alone,
You'll never walk alone.

2. Also prominently featured in one of my favorite books
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy -- as sung by Eddie, the shipboard computer.

3. Also the theme song of Liverpool supporters
based on the cover by Gerry and the Pacemakers; Gerry, it so happened, is/was a huge LFC supporter, and it just stuck.

5. Just before this misbegotten war started
our priest broke into this during his sermon. It was so funny and yet so touching. It is a lovely song.
