Disney did not create the DVD format.
Indeed, the paranoid "sue anybody at the drop of a hat for even vaguely infringing on our crappy material" company was one of the companies who WAITED to jump on the DVD bandwagon!
What a bunch of pansyasses.

George Lucas thinks there's no profit in releasing it on DVD right now, though he's released them on VHS and Laserdisc about 500,000 times over... :eyes:

Disney doesn't follow the DVD standards and specifications in some way (no, I don't know how exactly). . . and so they cannot use the DVD Video label that is on every other DVD. . . so they're Disney DVDs.
