Over the weekend Mrs. TOJ and I were at the outdoor "Festival Of American Music" at Fitzgerald's in Berwyn. It was killer hot in Chicago all weekend. Anyway, the second band came out, and one of their members was a total babe - 30ish, great smile, and a nice shape packed into a tight, skimpy dress (it later turned out that she played a great fiddle and sang nicely, too, but that's not part of this story). Between the first two songs, her patter went something like, "This is the 4th straight year we've been in Chicago on the 4th of July, and we're learning to wear less clothes every year". My mind being in the sewer, as usual, out popped, "I can't wait to see her *NEXT* year".

Usually my spousal unit is pretty tolerant of my sense of humor, and even appreciative, but this one crash landed. So, thumbs up or thumbs down on Friday's witticism?

1. If my husband had said that
I wouldn't have found it to be knee-slappingly funny, but I probably would have been thinking the same thing myself.

2. I think it was harmless and I'm sure others there were amused
but I can see how it might have embarrased your wife. This chick, however, sounds like she was literally asking for it and if you hadn't said something, I'm sure that someone else would have.

5. That's the place
I love Sven, too. He seems to be running low on movies, though. Lots of repeats.

6. Sven
Yeah, when you have to show "Attack of the Killer Shrews" more than once a year it's time to beef up the movie catalog.

I live in Berwyn, Fitzgeralds is great club. We used to drink there back in the day when it was called The Deer Lodge.

4. I think it's very clever!
Reading the story, that's the response that formed in my head before reading that you had said it.

Great minds, and all that...
