Has anyone suffered from sick building syndrome? |
|
I always thought I didn't feel well because of my allergies but I have reason to believe my office is making me sick. I feel much better once I leave the building.

I worked in the basement of a building in downtown Cincinnati, in a photo lab. They kept telling us it was just the photo chemicals that were giving us headaches, blurred vision, ringing in the ears, etc. I've worked around those chemicals for ages and never had any symptoms. We started asking other people in the cafeteria during lunch breaks if they'd experienced anything similar, and a good number of people had. After talking to a lot of higher-ups and raising a bit of hell, the entire building was suddenly closed down for "asbestos removal". Upside: Building was clean; Downside: I lost my job (due to the business being shut down, not the muckraking. ;))
Hope your situation improves. Sometimes you just have to poke. :)
