Puppies have doubled in size since birth. One week old now.
They were around half a pound at birth, now a little over one pound.

Everybody's doing well!

4. Wait until they open their eyes!
Its funny how long haired dogs start out having short hair. One of the best things I ever did was take in my pregnant girls and keeping the pups. It has been a wonderful two and a half years with my dog family. Do momma a favor and try to clean up as much poop as you can so she doesn't have to do it.

10. Yes, to keep track, make notes etc.
Little boy Blue is the runt, born first and born at about .35 lbs, now .77 so he may be gaining a bit on the others. He is very vocal and active though and doing well.

Yellow is the heavyweight champion at about 1.3 lbs now. All the others are right around 1.1 lbs.

13. I don't know how I've kept up with it....
mine have different sizes of white patches on their fore chests (most black schnauzers have a white patch on the chest). I keep records according to the size of the white patch. And, of course, the black and silver one is easy to keep up with.

I just gave mine shots and dewormed them today. :D

33. Okay, that line made me spit coffee all over my keyboard!
Color-coded puppies! (actually, a brilliant idea, especially when they don't have different coat patterns to distinguish them)

They're pretty much all accounted for, as far as who will get the pups.

On Edit: What kind are yours? They are so sweet!

20. No. I just love dogs.
We put her in the county fair's pet show once, and she won. We were so proud of her for that.

Otherwise, she's just my lapwarmer. She is always in my lap or at my feet. She even goes to school with me sometimes, when I teach. She's my constant companion.

We have two schnauzers and two weimies.

Here's Bisbee, our male weimy.

There's no callouses or scuffing on them. Just soft and smooth and smells like popcorn.
